CONNECTICUT CITIES/TOWNS and STATE OF CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION/DOT MAINTAINER I ENTRY LEVEL POSITION (CT DOT)

CDL "A" OR "B" employment opportunities may be available for positions within any of the 169 cities/towns to include the following departments – Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Water Utilities, General Maintenance; and the CT DOT in any of their four districts throughout CT.

Equipment use may include Dump Truck; Dump Truck with Lowbed to transport heavy equipment – Backhoe, Bulldozer, Excavator, Paver, Vacuum Truck, Rack Truck, Water Truck. Most cities/towns positions do not require endorsements, but there may be a few exceptions where a Tanker or Hazmat Endorsement may be a few required. The CT DOT does require Tanker Endorsement for their Water Trucks. Dependent upon the Cities/Towns Department and CT Dot, Responsibilities can include snow plowing, repair of road systems, general carpentry, vehicle maintenance, landscaping, transporting fill/gravel/stone, mowing of public property, install/maintain water lines, etc...
